Nature Finance and TNFD

Managing nature-related financial risks today remains a niche art, practiced mainly by those investing in the nature-sensitive food sector. The Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) has championed the shift that is seeing this art now move into the scientific mainstream.

NatureFinance co-chaired the TNFD’s formative technical work running up to the launch of the TNFD in June 2021, helped to establish its ambitious conceptual and technical foundations and providing additional technical support in participating in the rapid development of the first version of TNFD’s framework.

NatureFinance is currently working with TNFD to research the social and economic equity and rights aspects of nature related risks and disclosure requirements, and supporting early-stage, cutting edge work on nature related scenarios.
