From sovereign debt and resilience to artificial intelligence, bioeconomy and nature-related financial risk, NatureFinance will be in New York for Climate Week 2026, working with partners to advance practical solutions for bringing nature into economic and financial decision-making.
Across the week, our team will convene governments, financial institutions, investors and other partners, while contributing to discussions on some of the issues shaping NatureFinance’s work — including how resilience can be better reflected in sovereign risk, how technology and AI are changing nature-related dependencies, and how investment can help build more resilient bioeconomies.
Events hosted and co-hosted by NatureFinance
Financing the Forest Bioeconomy at Scale
Wednesday, 23 September | 11:10–12:30 | Nature Hub, KPMG Headquarters.
The forest bioeconomy can create economic value from standing forests and restored landscapes while supporting livelihoods, climate resilience and biodiversity. But moving from promising initiatives to commercial scale requires the right finance, infrastructure, markets and enabling conditions. Co-hosted by the Bioeconomy Challenge, Forest and Climate Leaders’ Partnership (FCLP) and UNDP, this working roundtable will bring together leaders from government, finance, business and communities to explore what it will take to build investable forest bioeconomy value chains at scale — while maintaining ecological integrity, rights, inclusive livelihoods and local value creation. The discussion will help identify practical actions to increase finance mobilisation over the next 12 months.
